A new collection of entrancing, lo-fi sound-art compositions from tireless sound-scavenger and swarmandalist Stuart Chalmers (UK). The artist layers and combines samples, electronics, FX and percussion with the Indian instrument to create meditative and devotional passages.

While the orientation of some pieces (especially Contemplations 4, 5 and 6) lies in gentle waves of harmonised drones, that of others delves further into the intuitive beauty of decomposition (Contemplation 8), or far into the expressive states of zithering: deeply meditative and calm (Contemplation 84) as well as busier and more organic (Contemplation 58).

Any money made from pre-order sales for this release will be donated to the NAACP (www.naacp.org). I will make a single payment at the conclusion of the pre-order period.
